Nan's House

Interested in the hidden history of a building and the stories we create within four walls, Manning never felt this more keenly than when visiting her Nan’s house. As her Nan drew closer to the end of her life and once she did eventually pass away, Manning felt draw to document the content of the house in minute detail by way of preserving the precious memories and emotion held within the fabric of the building.

This line of investigation developed into a sound instillation based on memories of playing and den building in her Nan’s house as a child. This was exhibited as part of a show with Moogie Wonderland in Rochester.
